Swinging cat too terrified to go out

Daylight yobbery ... cruel man dances down street while swinging cat

TRAUMATISED moggie Mowgli is too terrified to go out after a thug was filmed swinging him by his TAIL, the pet's owner has revealed.

The man is seen spinning while swinging the cat at arm's length and comes close to smashing the poor animal's head on the pavement.
Passers-by watched in horror as he whirled past the Camden Arms pub in Ramsgate, Kent, at 8.30am on Saturday, October 26.

Police launched an appeal to catch the brute after the pub landlord sent CCTV footage of the incident to the RSPCA.
Mowgli's owner, Michelle Buchanan, said he was now too scared to go out. She said: "He hasn't gone out of the flat since.

"He just sits on my bed or on the sofa. He isn't physically injured but it's had a terrible effect on him."
Miss Buchanan, a 43–year–old IT teacher, was at work and did not find out about the attack until she returned to her home in Ramsgate, Kent, She said: "There was no sign of Mowgli and I didn't know if he was alive or dead.

Everyone in the neighbourhood was looking for him and eventually he came back home at about 9pm.
Miss Buchanan, who has three cats, said: "I haven't seen the footage myself because I was too distraught at the time when I found out about it. I still don't want to see it."
Sun readers reacted angrily after we published the story and horror video which can be seen above.
Darren Walkinshaw said: Totally disgraceful.....cant understand what pleasure anyone would get from this......JAIL HIM."
Rebecca North agreed and said it the moggie's treatment was completely wrong.
She said: "Absolutly disgusting! What sort of sick person does that to a harmless animal!!"
And one reader, calling himself Woodinator was livid at the cruelty on show.
He fumed: "Well done big man, picking on a defenseless animal. Yeah, you the man.
"IDIOT. Would love to see him in real life."
Scott LeRoc praised us for exposing the man responsible.
He said: "Well done THE SUN.
"Keep on showing us these clips so we can catch these evil people."
A spokesman for the RSPCA said: "The owner lives in the basement flat of the pub and her cat has the run of the neighbourhood.
"The landlord recognised Mowgli on the CCTV and he later came home in a very distressed state and has not left the flat since.
"His owner is too upset to view the footage herself, she feels it would be too distressing."
RSPCA Inspector Caroline Doe added: "This was a very violent, nasty attack on a cat.
"Anyone who witnessed this outside the pub must have been as shocked and appalled as we were.
"We are hoping that someone will recognise this man and come forward so we can investigate this fully."
