The captain of a passenger plane sparked a terror scare — after getting locked in the loo shortly before landing.
Fighter jets were put on alert when the co-pilot became suspicious of a foreign passenger — who the captain had asked to raise the alarm — attempting to access the cockpit.
He told traffic control: "The captain disappeared. What I'm being told is he's stuck in the toilet and someone with a thick foreign accent is giving me a password to access the cockpit."
The captain of the Chatauqua Airlines flight from North Carolina to New York, in the US, eventually got out of the toilet and landed the aircraft.
